We who are experiencing the denial of our dissociated recovery are not easily emotionally ruffled. But this is only because there lies a thick wall buffering our hidden, vulnerable self from the sharp and often honest edges of the world.
The Recovered are much less protected, but have such a deep core of self-love that they can defend themselves gently. The exact nature of who we are is often self deluded bathed in mumbo jumbo and spiritual claptrap changing from minute to minute as we struggle to define this particular minute that disappears as we merge into the next.
Admit to god, to ourselves, and to other human beings the exact nature of who we are if only we could we will aways be a blindman in a darkened room flexing an imagination that conjures up a new disassociational escape into the past or future scrabbling at the door to an-others perceived sanity. Is that Buddha or Christ knocking at your door, or is it just another recovery mirage tantalisingly just out of site.Ever so softly tapping at our closed door of reason.
