The darker, unacknowledged purpose of being married with children is to create a vehicle for passing on denied trauma. Non-reflective, socially sanctioned family life with all the rigors of childrearing is a convenient way to divert our energy from the healing path. Few who are married with children have but the merest time for introspection. Instead of resolving their psychic carnage from childhood, they unconsciously project it unto their spouses and children. Their spouses and children carry the burden of whatever wounds or unfulfilled wishes remain within. Eventually these buried hurts erupt in conflicts of various sorts between us and our spouses and also our children. Maybe they take a generation or two to claw their way to the surface—but they do erupt. We who deny our deep inner world never acknowledge the source of these conflicts—our own childhoods. Nor do we indict our parents for the wounds they now pass on. Instead we deny—what was done to us and the fact that we
are doing the same.

Our guide is a co-traveler on the path to truth.
Our guide is a co-traveler on the path to truth. He or she is striving just as hard as we are to understand and resolve his or her defences. Childhood traumas that have been repressed in the unconscious must be brought into full awareness—enlightenment—before we can become, or attain, a perfect guide. But this is a process. It takes time. Even if we, or our guide, regress into old, negative behaviours or attitudes, we remember that the essence of each of us is perfect. At the core of each is truth. If eruptions of negativity occur, we understand that the source is a wounded child within. It is the job of each guide to monitor these slips and own them—and then to resume consciously evolving to truth.
The reality is that most people skip the arduous preparation necessary to become a guide—the lonely solo journey to an autonomous self. Instead of resolving childhood issues . Finding a seemingly acceptable guide is done in place of finding our child within. Unconsciously we employ the fantasy that Prince or Princess Charming will save us from all that was wrong in our past, especially our denied childhood needs. This imperfect guide becomes the object of magical rescue or, in time, if the fantasy of magical rescue wears thin, of murderous revenge.
Another common wayward path that many people take with a guide is to assume a façade of normalcy and bourgeois conformity. While all is well on the surface, turmoil roils beneath the surface of their complacent life. The denied traumas of childhood do not go away, but manifest discretely in emotional compromise, stunted creativity, depression, damaged children, addictions of various sorts, and physical and emotional illness. These all exist to mute our denied feelings and wounds.
We must undergo extensive healing of childhood despair—which we all carry—to not play out our damage with our guides. Yet in a world full of compromised liars who make up the norm it is a great comfort and aid to seek truth with an evolved guide. With strong boundaries at our side we often can find great value in co-travelers who remind us that our journey is real and that our goal is not to conform to the comforts of psychic sleep, but to grow into consciousness and to fulfil the perfection planted in us at birth.

UPDATED: The CHILD WITHIN thats is an interior voice accessing the exterior and is the only true voice of the child. The authentic intuition voice that lovingly guides your life.
If all our thoughts, beliefs, decisions and behaviour ultimately depend on neural processes and environmental factors over which we have no direct control or access, can it be said that we have anything like a free will, as it has been traditionally conceived? Is there any way for us to think, choose, or act that isn’t determined by processes outside of our control? This is an excellent reason to start The Ten Stages study course that deals with the intuitive voice and the child within. We do not deal with the inner child which is governed by the parental voice. But the CHILD WITHIN thats is an interior voice accessing the exterior and is the only true voice of the child. The authentic intuition voice that lovingly guides our life.We are the child within lying on the bed, not the parent gazing in from the door at an inner child.....

We who are experiencing the denial of our dissociated recovery are not easily emotionally ruffled.
We who are experiencing the denial of our dissociated recovery are not easily emotionally ruffled. But this is only because there lies a thick wall buffering our hidden, vulnerable self from the sharp and often honest edges of the world.
The Recovered are much less protected, but have such a deep core of self-love that they can defend themselves gently. The exact nature of who we are is often self deluded bathed in mumbo jumbo and spiritual claptrap changing from minute to minute as we struggle to define this particular minute that disappears as we merge into the next.
Admit to god, to ourselves, and to other human beings the exact nature of who we are if only we could we will aways be a blindman in a darkened room flexing an imagination that conjures up a new disassociational escape into the past or future scrabbling at the door to an-others perceived sanity. Is that Buddha or Christ knocking at your door, or is it just another recovery mirage tantalisingly just out of site.Ever so softly tapping at our closed door of reason.
